| Redfish are my favorite gamefish. They have made a dramatic
comeback from depleted stocks several years ago. I catch more redfish than all other fish
combined and are a favorite on our dinner table. The biggest secret to catching them is
to: 1) get good bait, threadfin, pilchards pinfish or shrimp works good too, 2) fish the
tides, incoming or outgoing, as long as its moving, 3) cast deep in the mangrove, one foot
short is no good, sometimes you may luck out but trust me, cast deep. I've caught a lot on artificials too, bass assasins, 7m mirrolures, jumping mullets and DOA's all work well. |
