RUINS3 Final (3-2)
[ruins3] Starting Team: Freezer, Jazzman-X, FRaG GoD, Toxoph

Last night's match against the Dingos clan was very fun. For us anyway. I'm sure the two Dingos who played against our four members were under considerably more stress than we were. They played exceptionally well considering being double-teamed the whole time. Here is a quick summary of the two levels played.
ACTCITY2 - This level was our pick and we played it very well. After a couple of close battles at the start, we became more aggressive and used our superior numbers by rushing them all together. This proved to be too much for the other team and we got a safe lead about halfway through the round. This level is made for this kind of mad rush fighting, and our playing strategy took its toll. Final score WC: 19, Dingos: 4
RUINS3 - The Dingos wisely chose this map as their pick and used it quite effectively. We only got through 4 whole rounds in the time allowed, with the 5th round running about 3 minutes over. The sheer size of this map made our tactics of the first map totally ineffective as the terrain was impassible for 4 at a time. With lots of stairs and exposed alleys and half-covered windows, the Dingos sniping skills almost won them the level. Each round that we won we had only 1 or 2 people left and probably wounded. Our only way to defeat them was to sneak up on them as they were sniping and shoot 'em in the back. The deciding round was quite a rush to watch. Freezer, Toxoph, and myself had all been taken out, and the enemy had been shot once by me at medium range with a shotgun. The three of us watched in agony as Jazzman ran around, demanding a reply to his "Team report in" messages. I watched through the Dingos' eyes as they tracked Jazz down and just as they were about to pop him in the head he swings around with his M4 and blasts one across the room and then the other ten seconds later. I wish I had been recording a demo because it would have been a classic.
I did record a demo from my point of view, and then through others' after I died, of about the last two minutes of the 2nd level. If you watch it you get to see Freezer and me taken out in the first 30 seconds while Jazzman dies somewhere offscreen, and then the huntdown of Toxoph (through his eyes) to end the round. Probably our worst round of the match but pretty cool to watch. Keep an eye on Freezer, he's the guy who goes up the stairs ahead of me onto the roof at the very beginning. I'm also including in the zip file AntiMatter's demo which is of the the same time period but follows the action a little less. He does however show where the sniper that took out Freezer and scared me off the roof was sitting.
