Well the smoke has cleared and we came out on top in a close victory in our first scrimmage match. It was not very good due to they only had 3 guys show and then their leader quit right away after we won the first level but....hey they did give a good fight and at least we had fun. Here is a basic scoring recap as best I can remember:
Starting Team: Freezer, Toxoph, Antimatter.
The match started off real scary. The CQC got off to a 3-0 lead pretty quick. Me and Frag God sat watching trying to cheer through the monitor. Freezer grabbed the flag and Toxoph was able to return the team flag to let Freezer score the first point. They scored 3 more times in a row to get the score to 4-3 Wrecking Crew advantage.
(I do have to say I was real proud of Freezer, Tox and Antimatter with the way they were sticking in there and not whinning and keeping going after being down 3-0 )
Right before the 4th score Toxoph had some lag problems and had to drop out. I then (Jazzman) took his place.
CQC scored twice more to bring the score to 6 - 4, CQC advantage. We were in trouble. Then Freezer and Antimater mounted a defense on our flag. I having a great ping scored 3 un-answered scores in a row to win the match 7-6. We actually won because on my last score Freezer broke the 150 Frag point total. However, we won whichever way you look at it.
Lag was not an issue even though they will probably say it was. If you look at the shot above Freezer and Antimatter have pings higher than their guys. Very clear to see. Well maybe someday we will schedule a new match with them but our next match should be a lot better. The next clan we play seems to be a little more organized.
