I got my copy of Kingpin last night. I have to say that so far the single player element is very cool. I have only gotten past the revised first episode and a little ways into the second.

I can almost guarantee we will be having some matches at LB3 with Kingpin. The Bagman multiplayer game looks to be great. It does appear that you need the CD in the computer to play so all of you make sure you pick up your copy and bring the CD with you. Right now I am the only one I know that has it. I would appreciate if any of you that pick it up let me know via email or ICQ so I can get a poll of how many people have it.

Kingpin on shelves now!!

Server Info
We had to make some changes on the servers today. We had to change the admin and supervisor passwords to the servers. Several people have accidentally displayed them and several non WC people had them. As of right now only the following people have the passwords: Jazzman-X, Freezer and FRaG GoD. We will slowly give the supervisor password to those who we feel need it. Within a couple days we should be ready to give it to everyone.

I want to thank all of you for your replies to the Clan Issues post the other day. Many of you sent me emails asking who was doing it and even apologizing for the problems. I think everyone got the intended message from the post and I am glad to see everyone appears ready to move along and get back to business.

LB3 preparations are going along fine so far. The time has really passed quickly all the sudden. It seems like it was 3 months to go just a week or so ago! Our prize pile keeps building and I have added a few more confirmed victims to the LB3 page. We are still waiting to confirm several more people yet. **Clan Issues
I am going to make this short and sweet. There has been some reports of WC members fighting and bickering back and forth with fellow WC members. This is unacceptable. We will not put up with it.

I highly encourage any of you that have disputes with other WC members to work it out yourselves. Because, if the WC leaders get involved we are just gonna kick out all involved parties. We do not have time to put up with this shit.

If you have a legitimate complaint about someone let either me, Freezer, Gator, or FRaG GoD know about it. It better not be "He is a retard", "he sucks", "I hate his macros" etc. If you feel someone is hurting the clan or not being a very good example for the clan let us know and we will take care of it. I will not put up with any more reports of WC members on the server cursing at each other and being degrading.

We are a pretty highly respected clan in the community and we want to keep it that way. I hope this is the last we have to say about this. - Jazzman-X [10:15 am EST]

Jazz notes...
I am sure most of you are getting as hyped for LB3 as I am starting to get. Man only 3 weeks left until we are kicking ass! I went to one of our other sponsors (Interline- Local ISP: www.iline.com ) today and picked up another modem they had for a giveaway. It is a nice USR 56k external (new in the box). So just one more prize on top of the stack we are starting to get.

I also wanted to let you guys know we do have a design for the t-shirts all ready to go. It looks really great. I know that Gator is checking with the t-shirt place to get some specifics down and then we will probably put the order in. It only takes a couple days to a week for them to make them. We had about 80% of you say you wanted shirts so we will make sure to make enough and put your name on one for you. As of right now I believe they are gonna be white shits with red/black graphic and writing on them. We may get a preview of what it looks like up here next week sometime.

Server issues...
I wanted to update you guys on some of the things going on with the servers.

CTF Server: Well as I feared soon as we bring the CTF server back up it starts crashing. The guy who is at the computer called me and told me it keeps doing the Doctor Watson (on NT4.0) "An Application error has occurred - Quake2.exe" Blah Blah Blah. Now mind you this does not happen to the Action server. Just the CTF server. I have no idea what is causing this. The only option I think that is left at this point is to just take Lithium out of the mix and for at least a while make it a straight up original CTF server. Let me hear feedback from you guys on this.

Action Server: The AQ server seems to be fine. I will say on the new map choice it was a quick decision. I have not even played it yet. FRaG GoD and I decided to put it up based on just walking around in it for a few minutes. Seemed like it would be a pretty ok map. I will hold my judgment until I actually get to play on it some. I did get copies of all the logs so we will try to research what happen to the server last weekend when it went down. - Jazzman-X [10:15 am EST]

SERVER UPDATES!!
Hey if you didn't notice the Demolition Site server went down.. Hmm amazing huh?  Well I can bet my balls that there is some bs error message, probably something about getzspace or some crap like that.  I really think we should consider removing the Lithium Mod.  There is something wrong with that and everything else we run on our server machine, its like they have inbred and they are retarded or something.  Wow, Who's choice was it to put deepcayon on the AQ server?   Geez..don't trust the reviews on the mapdepot, those people are slightly biased i think.  I think there were better choices..well thats just my opinon.. - Freezer -[2:00am EST]

The Demolition Site CTF server is back online.  We don't know how stable it will be, but enjoy it while it's up.  Also a new map, deepcanyon, has been added to the rotation on our AQ2 server.  Links to download it are available as always on the Files Page.

As I am sure many of you noticed the Action Server is down. Unfortunately we do not have access to it over the weekend to restart it. So It will not be up until Monday most likely. King Pin Gold
Those of you who played the kick ass demo of this game should be real excited to know King Pin went gold yesterday and should be out by the end of the month.  We plan on trying to get a game of this going for LANBLAST 3.  So go get your damn copy when it comes out.. - Freezer -[1:00am EST]

Freezer on maps and such
Ok by now all of you coming to Lanblast 3 should have sent in those registration forms.  It was pretty funny to see some of the comments sent in and not actually seeing the form before I read the results really had me all kinds of screwed up..hehe  Any way If you all have questions PLEASE drop me a note.  I want everyone to make it to this event on time and alive so that I may commence a beat down when you arrive.  I will be using the metal detector and FRaG GoD will be doing body cavity searches to find any illegal items you may try to bring in.   Don't any of you people get out of hand or I'll have to split you from the crack of your ass to the back of your head with my foot

On the lighter side, a big Happy Birthday to Jazzman-X who is older than dirt today.  Man must feel nice to be a fossil.  I will be stoppig by the Neoreality Offices later today to give him the official birthday gift of a Size 13 in the ass.  Anyone else want to give him such a special present should email me so we may arrange it.

One more thing, as you all know the CTF server will most likely be back up and running next week, as soon as we have figured out the problems we were experiencing  I had Lithium 1.24 and BW-Admin 1.61 or whatever the current version is, running on my machine all day with out a hitch, I know FRaG GoD will be doing a more intensive test to see if any problems arrise from those two as well.  We have listened to your demands and all we request is you USE IT..hehe  I know I will be there, and I will bring guests.     So if you want a good ass whooping, I'll see you there.  - Freezer -[1:13am EST]

Hirudin is the man!
I need to first apologize to Hirudin for taking so long to get this up. I have just been mega busy as of late. Hirudin has done a fine job here. He has whipped a fine little CTF config for all of our members to check out. He has made html pages with pictures and of course the config. Of course this stuff is all over at the WC members only page.

I am going to go take a closer look at it and see if there are some things I can use to improve my already unstoppable CTF skills (insert sarcasm). We have around 15 or so that have confirmed so far on the LB3 form. I expect many more to come soon. Make sure if someone is coming with you or someone you know is coming that you have them go and register also. Everyone has to fill out the form in order to come. We have room for lots of people but we want to know who is coming.

Demolition Site CTF server is coming back....
I plan to take down the Q3Test server next Tuesday and bring our CTF server back up. I know several of you will be cheering. I must say to be honest I am really looking forward to it. I just had to say something about this. We are right now ranked #10 on the top 100 Action Quake Teamplay clans list over at CLQ. Now I know you guys have heard me bitch about CLQ a lot but hey....it still is pretty cool we are ranked that high. Good job to everyone that logged time to help that out. Freezer Notes Part Deux
Ok, I TRIED to go see AP last night BUT, it seems since the theaters (20 of them in one building) were packed with little HIGH SCHOOL children and some BULLSHIT movie by the name of Star Wars HAS to be in the BIGGEST theaters, I could not get a ticket to the LATE show of AP.  I will however will try again..you damn little freaks in Naples won't get another ticket to any movie because I am going to buy them all and hold them for a ransom of..One Million Dollars!!  Well not really I just thought that would be appropriate..hehe

On other notes, I don't know how many of you besides Jazz are big console gaming fans, but I have to say this.  The Sega Dreamcast is a sweet ass machine.  After messing with the machine the other day and playing of all things, a fishing game complete with a rod and reel shaped controller with a rumble pack built in, I have come to the conclusion that Sony and Nintendo better hold on to their collective asses because Sega just got rabies.  I don't normally get all hyped up about a gaming console, hell I own a Sega Genesis, a 3DO, a Sega Saturn and a Playstation, the latter three were all recieved as gifts from the manufacturers, but DAMN believe me when I say it, this machine will roll up Sony and Nintendo and smoke em like a $20 rock.   Sega has BIG TIME backing by none other than Microsoft,  so you know the machine will not fail, if it does old Bill will surely buy Sega and assimilate them.   Look for some kick ass titles to ship with the unit.  Games like Rainbow Six, Dead or Alive 2 (oh this is a SWEET looking game) Sonic (I bet you can't keep up with this game) hell if you have a Saturn break out those old games cause it will play em.  Its a shame I don't sell these anymore, I sure sound like I still do..hehe  I know I got mine on reserve..Do you?

The above quote can mean only one thing.. "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me" is out today!!  I will hopefully see this tonight at the local movie establishment, right after i go see a friend who is recovering from surgery. 

The AQ match didn't happen last night, instead we got to see how morons play and had a bunch of campers and just general dickwads playing on the server along with the normal WC and AQ server crowd (No Black though..hmmm)  Any way it was fun while it lasted..

Looking at the message below from FRaG GoD, I must say I have played WF and yes it is a overnight download, but I am not as excited as Radking about it.  I have played it and I know Gator has played it, I just wasn't impressed by it.  This server debate will rage on until we can decide on what it's going to be.  My vote is for a standard CTF or maybe Expert CTF server.  Either way it has to be a CTF server I think.   I will however, post some WF servers to the server page, I will probably put the 3 Team CTF servers out to pasture.  If anyone doesn't want the 3 Team servers gone just let me know then I will find an alternate way to display them.. - Freezer -[12:53am EST]

AQ2 match probably not going to happen
I have not been able to get ahold of the leader of clan FgZ this week to discuss our match details.  So I'm pretty sure it's not going to happen.  I have no idea what maps they want to play, or if they're even going to show up.  If you're going to be online anyway, you can stick around and see if anything happens, but don't count on it.  I probably will not be there, but Jazzman should be, so he'll be in charge if the other clan actually does show up.

I've had a couple conversations with Radking over the last few days, and much of it was about him trying to download the Weapons Factory mod for Q2.  Then I didn't hear from him for a day, and eventually received this ICQ message:

We need to start a weapons factory server!!!!!!! dude ive been playing it almost straight for the past 27 hours... got 2 hours of sleep.. then skipped school today and played nonstop i like it :)  we should get the clan to try it out.. and if enough people like it and wanna play.. we could add it to our list of mods :)

Zero Gravity Fun, recorded by Black
We had a little fun last night after our sort-of-practice.  We played a couple round on Actcity2 with some wacky settings.   Every player got every weapon and item, and ran around with very low gravity.   It made for a very strange fight, and one pretty funny demo.  Black recorded his view of the level, and it's available for download here (593kb).  I haven't looked at it yet, but I found that I had recorded a demo of the same map.  It was quite mesmerizing to watch... heheh.

Just reminder that we have AQ practice tonight.   Also, if you are available to play in the AQ match this Thursday night, send me an email and let me know.  We don't have the teams figured out just yet, so I want to know how many people are planning on being there, so we can figure out some temp teams for this match.   Also, include your vote for our map(s) during the match.  It has to be one that is already on the server. We can't add any new ones in time.  If you don't respond, and you show up anyway, don't expect to play more than one map.   We seriously have too many people, so we need to know ahead of time so things are more organized than last match.  The whole match will be on our server this time, so it will be a little easier to control.  But these guys have never had a match before so it will be a little confusing no matter what.

AQ practice tomorrow
I was in the middle of a conversation with BLaKE of 6e9 about whether we were going to continue our weekly practices on Tuesday.  I don't remember what happened, but I don't think we confirmed that it was going to happen.   I'm going to say to go ahead and plan for a practice tomorrow night.  Even if the 6e9 guys can't make it, we have enough people now that we can have a good practice against each other anyway.  So that's Tuesday as in tomorrow.  We usually start at 9:00pm, but I'm sure at least 2 or 3 of you will be on there way ahead of time.  :)

Thoughts from Hirudin...
Our hardcore CTF player Hirudin sent me this email to post on the site. I will comment that our CTF server is just down and not out. The problem was that it was crashing quite often and it was gonna be difficult for me to get to the server and keep it up. We will be looking at and discussing server options and all at LB3. Wrecking Crew Live Broadcast Declared a Success
Our live show apparently reached quite a few members of the clan, including Antimatter in Arizona and Treset in Canada. It was fun to put on, and we will consider using that technique again if appropriate. FRaG GoD did an excellent job as host, and many thanks to Antimatter, pSyCoSiS, GATOR, and Black for calling in on our "request line" and talking to us. Also thanks to the many listeners who ICQ'd messages to us during the show. FRaG GoD recorded the event and he's working on possibly posting an edited archive of the show for those who tuned in late.

Wrecking Crew Live Broadcast - Friday at 5:30pm EST
Ok, we're going to try something cool - and we need victims. Tomorrow (Friday) at 5:30pm we'll be attempting a RealAudio broadcast from Naples, Florida. Your host will be Frag God, with guest appearances by ZapMan and Jazzman-X. We want to see if WC'ers around the world can connect to us and hear our ramblings. You will need the RealPlayer G2 to listen in. We are going to try some interactive things to get you involved during the broadcast. At the very least you'll be able to send us emails to read over the air during the broadcast. We may try more sophisticated things but that will probably be it. Some details on Lan Blast 3 may be released during the broadcast. If you plan on listening in tomorrow, and helping us out, please email and let us know. Even if you don't email now, please be ready to listen tomorrow! We will post the hyperlink for the show on this page tomorrow. In the meantime, you can test your software version, etc by clicking on this test file which is a recorded audio clip running on the server that will host the actual broadcast. Please note that this is also ZapMan's workstation at NeoReality so it is possible that the server will go down before tomorrow but at 5:30 it will definately be running! The server is connected to a T1 so everything should run fine. Please note that we have already determined that Microsoft Media Player will not work... you need the G2 software from RealNetworks (which is FREE). If this event works out, we may try more ambitious events in the future!

Stop asking to join our clan!
That's the bluntest way I can put it... but I need to say it. We've gotten a whole bunch of new members over the last few weeks, and there's now about 5 people who've submitted apps that are waiting.  It became apparent during our last match that we have too many people who are available to play, and we kept filling up the server so that the other clan guys couldn't all get on.  Before we accept any more new members, we're going to have to set up some kind of organizational structure so that there isn't chaos at future matches and practices.  I'm thinking about something like Teams or Squads within the clan that practice/match together regularly.  They won't be permanent or anything, maybe at the beginning of each month we'll reshuffle everyone again or something.  But we've got too many people to fit on the server at once, so we're going to have to spread things out.  So if you've applied and are waiting on an answer, or you are thinking about applying, please accept our apologies and hold out for a week or two while we get things straightened out.

AQ2 and Q3test servers updated
OK the Q3test server should be pinging the master servers properly now, so there will actually be people finding it now.  We also have removed that damn mall2 from the AQ server (woohoo!) and also actcity3, which more people seemed to hate than liked.  We've also added bldg17 to the rotation, which I haven't played personally but I've been told is a good map.   Sorry we couldn't get all of your suggestions in, but time was limited.  Maybe next time we'll redo the whole list or something.  If anyone still doesn't have hostage2 or bldg17, you can download them from the Files Page.

Match info... new members... and stuff
Well I would have posted some info about the match later that night, but I after I quit the AQ2 server I went and played Tribes for another couple hours till around 3am.  I started looking into the files, and I realized that I only had screen shots of one of the rounds, and I didn't want to sit through all the demos to find out what the final scores were.  I will put up the results in the next couple days when I get a chance to watch the demos.  I can say right now though that everyone who played on WC played really well.  I'm not sure exactly when the match really ended, since the RaGe guys just kinda drifted off one by one, but out of the first 3 maps we played, RaGe won one 10 - 8, and we won on Urban2 at like 10 - 2.  I know we also won Cliff, and were giving a good ass whooping when they started leaving on actcity2. 

I know CRuD had some ISP problems the whole time, but enough other people have played with him long enough and vouched for him.   pSyCoSiS tried out during the scrimmage and I think played impressively for those that were there.  (He's gotten pretty good with the Sniper Rifle, and we can always use a sniper guy since Marv seems to be playing a lot less...)  Plus he's one of my roommates now so if he acts up I can just kick his ass... heheh. So unless anybody has any objections, I'm going to go ahead and add pSyCoSiS and CRuD (if he's not already there) to the Roster page.

I don't know if we'll ever play RaGe again, but I for one enjoy having a little gang-bang wipeout every now and again, and that half hour on actcity2 sure filled the need.  :-)  We've gotten a couple more requests for matches lately so we'll might have another match here next week or so if you guys are up for it.

Treset (still not sure how to pronounce that) has asked me to post that he wants to try out Rocket Arena 2 with someone in the clan. Daily Jazz
I heard from FRaG GoD that we had a good scrimmage/match on Saturday. I was told we had a good amount of people show and overall our guys did very good vs. the other clan. My understanding is it was treated kindof like a match by them so... I guess we won. I am sure FRaG GoD will do a write up for it. Sorry I could not make it. Does not sound like you really needed my help anyway, hehe. Had that family thing going on.

We should have some more scrimmages or matches coming up in the near future. FRaG GoD may have some more info, demos or something to post about the scrimmage later.
