All welcome CRuD to the clan.  If you see him out there on the AQ server or possibly a CTF server say hey and welcome him aboard.  Like I said he is an exceptional AQ player and should prove to be a great asset to the clan..- Freezer -[2:43AM EST]

*AQ2 match confirmed for Saturday night
OK, I've talked to the two leaders of RaGe and we have confirmed the scrimmage/match for this Saturday (day after tommorrow).  We'll start it on our server at 8pm.   If you plan on coming email me and say so.  We're only playing 3 levels, so I need to know who's gonna be there so we can plan the rosters.  So far I've got the following people confirmed: Frag God, Zap Man, Jundice, Antimatter, CyRiS, Black, and Freezer (will be late).  We've also got two people who wanna join WC who will be trying out: CRuD and pSyCoSiS.   So if anyone is not on this list and plans on showing up, send me email now dammit!   :)   If there is a password on the server I will need to email it to you guys.

Jazz notes...
Yes I am still alive. Sorry for the lack of updates from me but as some of you know I had a big change happen recently and have been real busy. I just need to get on a schedule to update this site at a specific time. Like FRaG GoD said we will be getting that LB3 info up soon. We are sorry for the delay but it is a lot of information we are a trying to get organized.

Only 50 days left? That's nothing... also sorry to Freezer and Black..I ran out on you guys last night cause I tried to take a sceenshot in sli mode and my computer did a mini crash and I got kicked out. Then I was just too lazy to restart and come back in. I will try to come in tonight for some action. Thanks to Gator and Malebolgia for hooking me up with that second card. - Jazzman-X-[10:15 am EST]

**Freezer Notes..
Well it looks like these RaGe guys had a little problem with BOINK.  I was reading their message board thing and had a good laugh.  Some people can be real dickheads when they want to be.  I will try to be there on Saturday, if RaGe is still up to their original challenge, I won't be there until after 10:00pm most likely so if its still on I will be there.  I have invited a prospective member to tag along at the scrimmage his name is CRuD (geez these damn people with upper and lower case names..) he is an exceptional player who seems to get along well with others on the server.  I already cast my vote for his entrance, ask Black, the dude is purty darn good.

One more thing, I posted this quite some time ago and really never got a response to it.  I am still wondering if we should join the ranks of the OGL for AQ2.  Email me your take on this.   This would mean a bit more attention to challenges than we give now.  Today I got more requests from the [UN1] guys, I guess they still want to play with us..   Well thats it see you all at LB3. - Freezer -[1:58am EST]

Slow news week
Wow, look at that.  A whole five days without a news update.  Weird.  Well we've all been busy here, as usual.   We had another informal discussion about LAN Blast 3, and we will have an LB3 questionnaire form up within a couple days.  Everyone thinking of attending LB3 will need to fill it out.  We're pretty close to locking the list of attendees, so if you think you might wanna come and haven't told us yet, be sure to fill out the form as soon as it comes out.  !

Also, BOINK just quit clan RaGe, so I've sent an email to their clan leaders to make sure our match on Saturday is still on.  I've already had three (WC) people confirm they'll be there, plus myself and my roommate (who wants to join WC too) will be there, so it's all up to whether RaGe shows up.  I'll post as soon as I have any info.

BW-Admin password/commands
After chatting with Black today, I've decided to go ahead and make this a public notice.  As you know, by following the instructions on our member's page you can get Supervisor access on our AQ server and CTF server if we get it back up and running.  There seems to be an occasional problem of people misspelling the "sv_admin" command and thus revealing the password to everyone else on the server.  This can be prevented by binding a key on your keyboard to do the login command without you having to type it in every time.  So if the Supervisor password was "monkeydung" (which it is NOT), then you would add this line to your autoexec.cfg file:

bind x "sv_admin monkeydung"

Now you would replace the "x" with whatever key you want to hit, and "monkeydung" with whatever the real password is.  As long as you type it in correctly the first time, it will work right every time you hit that key afterwards.

Just make sure you don't go sending your config files to other people.  Also, there was a bug in BW-Admin a couple versions ago that would make it occasionally print the sv_admin line on the screen, even if you typed it in correctly.  If you see yourself or someone else print the password on the screen when there are non-WC members on the server, be sure to let one of the Admins know so that we can change it.  This has happened before and now two members of UN1 clan are banned from our server because they kept kicking people on our server.

AQ scrimmage next Saturday
BOINK of clan RaGe asked for an AQ scrimmage next Saturday at 8pm.  That would be the 29th of May.  Let us know if any of you have a problem with the date/time and whether you'll be there or not.   Also added some info to the Roster and Member Database from the new people we got recently.  Gotten a little behind on that stuff lately, but I think I've got it all up now.  Oh and Quake 3 rocks so far!  Just need some new levels to play on.... :)

LB3 meeting....
We had our organization meeting yesterday for LB3. We took a look at the place we are holding it at and discussed a ton of issues. We should be releasing info as a result of this very soon once we get it all organized. Expect to see something early next week about all we discussed.  - Jazzman-X-[11:15 am EST]

Second Opinion...
Well, I will start out by saying I   disagree with FG. I thought the movie was very good. I agree with the points he made on the aggravating Jar Jar character and the fact that Darth Maul definitely did not get enough screen time. I think that perhaps taking 10 minutes away from Jar Jar and giving it to Darth Maul would have been a big plus.

I thought overall the movie was very enjoyable, had great effects and was a great addition to the Star Wars story. I think the big problem is that no movie could possibly live up to the amount of hype this picture has gotten. People are just gonna be disappointed if they go into this movie expecting the best movie of all time which seems to be what people think it should be.

The movie is good. The pod race scene and the final fight at the end in my opinion were worth admission alone. People also have to understand that this movie is the big time setup movie for the series. The second episode will be the best in the whole series because it is gonna be the dark one dealing with Anakin becoming Darth Vader and is supposedly gonna deal with the Boba Fett character and his background some.

Again the movie rocks and is the best thing in the theater right now. If you go into it just expecting to be entertained and see the next Star Wars movie you will like it. If you go into it expecting to be reborn you should stay home.  - Jazzman-X-[11:15 am EST]

Star Wars: The Phantom Menace
Boo.  I'd say more but most of you haven't seen it yet, so I don't want to give away too many details.  All I can say is that if you're expecting the best Star Wars movie of the series yet, you will be disappointed.  The biggest things that annoyed me: There was way too much screen time devoted to the goofy little cartoon character guy who will no doubt appear on every possible item that a school kid can want, and the menacing Darth Maul had a whole 10 minutes.  Samuel L. Jackson, probably the only recognizable actor in the whole movie, had an awesome two lines in the whole film.  The Ewoks (which you can all probably agree were the stupidest part of first 3 Star Wars movies) were simply replaced by these entirely animated lizard-like natives, but they had essentially the same role.   And the closest thing we have to villains in this movie are these weird aliens whose mouths don't move much and sound like they're Chinese...  and when the hell are we gonna see Yoda kick some ass??  If you're gonna spend so much time animating goofy characters, why not let us see a little green muppet kick some ass with a lightsaber?!

The special effects were obviously much better than any of the others.  The pod-racing scene which was almost entirely computer made, was probably the best scene in the whole movie (keep an eye out for Willow/The Leprechaun during this scene :) ) .  The details on some of the cities is also really cool.   They just spent a little too much time animating their dumbass goofy Jamaican side-kick guy.  Jar Jar needed to Die Die.  It wasn't a bad movie, and I'd recommend seeing it.  Just don't go in there with too high expectations.  Also, go to the bathroom before you go... it's like 2 and half hours long!

Possible big problem with LB3
I've just been informed of some seriously disturbing news. Antimatter, like all college WC'ers, is saving his pennies to come to Florida for LB3 and is still short about $150 or so. Now as you all know, one of the most entertaining aspects of LB3 is going to be watching Freezer and Antimatter playing in the same room without killing each other in violent outbursts of rage. There is still an unsettled rematch of a particular arm-wrestling incident from WC's first get-together at Hooters (before the LB's started). A small contribution from each of you can make this possible.

So, DONATIONS ARE NEEDED. Send checks to:

"Anti-Freeze Fight Fund"  (or "Send Anti to LB3")
NeoReality Design Technologies
PO BOX 61271
Ft. Myers, FL 33906-1271

Make your check payable to NeoReality Design Technologies and we'll find some way to get the money to Antimatter in time. If there's anything left over, we'll use it for more cool LB3 stuff.

(All jokes aside, we are serious about this. We want to get Antimatter here for LB3! Hurry with that cash!)

ET scanner now available
The Seti@Home project that I posted about on here a long time ago has finally finished the Windows version of their client software.  They didn't send an email like they said they were when you signed up, so if you're interested you'll have to go to the page and download it.  They really really wanted to decrease the overload of traffic to their servers, so they give you a ridiculous amount of data to process.  It will take Pentium computer several days of non-stop running to complete one set.  So it's something you'd want to run at night while you're asleep or while you're away at work or school.  Website: http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/   then click on the link next to Windows users (or whatever OS you use)

Insane in the (mem?)brain...
I don't know if we really need MORE hype for LB3, but I guess we could use the quotes anyway.  What we really need is some ideas and suggestions for stuff to do.  LB3 is going to have quite a few more people and last for a lot longer, and we'll need some more events and stuff to fill up that time.   More people will probably have the Q3test by then, so we'll definitely get some LAN games of that going.  I also want to get some Tribes action going, if enough people have it.  We also need to think of some things to do if we lose power for a little while.  We didn't have a problem for LB2, but LB3 will be right smack in the middle of the Summer in the middle of the Lightning capital of the country.  (You might think this is being anal, but I am retyping this same sentence because the power just went out here... no lie!)  So there's some things to think about for the next month or so.   Each thing that you guys come up with is one less thing we have to plan.  Email your suggestions to us here.

Insane in the brain...
I have a small favor to ask of a few of you. I would like if any of you that came to LB2 could please write up a couple quotes on your opinions etc of LB2. This is gonna be for future PR purposes as we continue to build the event up. I would love quotes from all of you, especially Skube. Just email them to me if you would. Examples of what we are looking for is stuff like: "It was a kickass time. They had contests, prizes, gold belts and all the other stuff. I am definitely looking forward to the next one!" write up several in case we need more than one for something.

Who knows your if you quote is good enough it may be worked into some of the items we are getting done for LB3.  - Jazzman-X-[11:15 am EST]

New members... ?
As far as I know right now Treset and Oblique are in WC. My understanding is that Treset is primarily a AQ player and oblique a CTF player. Both of you guys need to email FRaG GoD with your information (email address, real name, ICQ#, IQ, waist size and beer preference) so your can get added to the roster page and whatever other database of incriminating information FRaG GoD keeps on everyone for blackmail purposes.  - Jazzman-X-[11:15 am EST]

WC ass kicking peasants on WC server...
Last night we had a pretty good session playing on the AQ2 server. Among the distinguished guests were Black, @myth, Violentmarv(back to his old name?), Freezer and of course me. We all were playing fair but as usual I played a good round on Cliff. Man I love that map. I think I came in second actually behind one of the 6e9 guys but it was close and the 2 of us were pretty far ahead of all the rest. I had like 28 frags at map end and I think he was at like 30.

I could of been a lot better off if that damn Blake[6e9] didn't keep touching my ass as I came down the ladder. I swear he loves plugging people in the ass (I hope everyone can read the joke here, if not email me and I will explain the whole concept).

Anyway it has been confirmed that Blake, chewy and xorfl of 6e9 are coming to LB3. I am really looking forward to this. We should have great competition on the AQ2 DM tournament. I think we are also gonna look at a 2 man teamplay tournament as well. Of course this will be mixed up teams as there is no clan vs. clan stuff at LAN Blast events (its about having fun and mixing it up, not clan rivalries). Plus I look forward to hanging with Blake. As much as me and him have been through in dealing with all you idiots we should have lots to talk about, hehe. (again that was joke, reference humor in the dictionary) On a quick side note...just so you guys know we now have like 26 people confirmed for LB3. We are looking at capping it at about 30. - Jazzman-X-[9:45 am EST]

CTF server...
Right now the CTF server will be down at least through the weekend. We are getting weird crashes from it on a daily basis. The Action and Q3test servers run with no difficulties. So until at least next Tuesday or so the CTF server will probably be down. I would like during this period for us to pick a CTF server to party crash. Would you big time CTF players please email with your favorite CTF server and then I will post it and make that the server we all go to over the next few days. Gator..give me the info man...cmon...cmon...just one IP man...do it, do it.  - Jazzman-X-[9:45 am EST]

Daily Jazz
I have no idea what Freezer and FRaG GoD are referring to when they reference me updating this site. I only update it once in a blue moon, hehe.

You know that all you freaks love my constant rambling and bullshit I post on here. I bet everyday you guys get online and say to yourself, "Let me go check what that crazy bastard Jazz has put up on the WC site today".  Cmon...admit it...you guys couldn't survive a day without some constant irrelevant bullshit from your friendly neighborhood Jazzmeister.

I thought so, hehe. - Jazzman-X-[9:45 am EST]

The Adventures of Freezer and the Perpetual Post...
Ok this is the most annoying thing going on this news page..it seems I DID post the link but some other individual (cough, cough Jazzman-X) posted a news update WHILE I was correcting my mistake and I had to reload the page and paste the update I did in.  Well Front Page doesn't like to copy everything so I lost the link..I'm only going to put this on here ONE more time due to some MS BS that I can't take anymore, that picture over there of me isn't fun at LB2 its a suicide pic, except they wouldn't duct tape the bag shut around my neck..bastards!..

The Adventures of Freezer and the Perpetual Post...
Well I think we're guaranteed to see yet another update to an update, considering he forgot to put the link up in the second post as well... heheh.   Well anyways, I really did plan on being at the CTF practice last night, but we got home really late from work, and decided to go out an eat as soon as we got home.   That was about 8:45, and with the help of our magic disappearing waiter, we didn't get out of the restaurant until almost 10:30.  Since it would probably be over by time we got home, we decided to go see The Matrix again.  You really cannot understand that movie without seeing it more than once.  There is so much dialog in the first half hour that you can't possibly understand until you see the other events later on, and your mind gets filled up real quick so you forget most of it.  After you know what's going to happen, you can go watch it again and actually understand what the hell they're talking about in the beginning.  (Remember when the chick with the gun calls him "Coppertop" when they're in the car?  Doesn't make any sense till you get to the end does it?)   I will say that the opening scene and the awesome shootouts towards the end don't get any less cool when you watch it again.

If I get any time tonight, I will start making a LAN Blast 3 page that will list all the people who are confirmed so far.  Otherwise this news page will keep growing at a ridiculous rate with Jazz's daily list updates... heheh.

Update to an Update..
Gee I guess I was rushed or something the other day when I posted something about a sniper rifle replacement model for AQ. I never posted the link to it so here it is. The sniper rifle replacement can be had at the AQ Actors Guild.

Sorry I wasn't there for the CTF scrimmage last night, you know I would have made a difference (Sure I would have..hehe) I know exactly how those Rubicon people are me and Gator played against them the first time..by ourselves.
-Freezer -[1:01pm EST]

3 WC servers...

I went ahead and got all three servers up now. Basically I have the CTF server and the Q3A server up on the same IP just different ports. Here is the current breakdown on the servers on addresses:

Action Quake server: 207.30.96.80:27910
Lithium CTF Server: 207.30.96.66:
27910
Quake 3 Arena DM server: 207.30.96.66:
27960

The Action and CTF servers should be fine on the servers page using the qplugin way to connect. I'm not sure on Q3A if it will get the right port (it should it is default) but if you have problems just add the port on the end of the IP when typing it in on the Q3test connect to server address line. Everyone report any problems performance wise that you notice on the servers.

CTF Practice = Whacked!
Sorry, but there really is no other way to put it. Last night for those of you that did not go we had a practice/scrimmage on CTF with Rubicon on one of their servers. It was totally not fun and not fair. They had a ridiculous ping advantage that completely unbalanced any competitive chance we may have had. They had 3 LPB one was around 25-30 another around 50-60 and a third around 90-100. All of our guys were around 250 and up on their server.

Normally I try not to complain about this but.... I made sure to take notice when we started that 2nd level and if you guys noticed on start I killed several of their guys that had pings closer to ours. But... I made sure to watch and I was killed like 6-7 times in a row all by the same player on their team../r/toast. He was the 25-30 pinger and he was going around with the railgun and unmercifully nailing everyone before you could even come close to reacting.

Let me say again... I do not blame him for playing with a good connection...I am happy for him...the issue is it just makes scrimmages not very fun. I mean when I am jumping through the air and someone can hit me in mid-flight with a railgun shot..there is a problem. I would not be against maybe playing with them again...BUT I refuse to ever play against them unless they have no more than 1 person in the sub 150 area and I will never play in a match/scrimmage with someone with a below 50 ping again. This is like the second time we have done this (remember the IWG scrimmage?) and I am completely tired of it.

One last point...people say when I make comments like this "oh your just a crybaby..you wish you had a connection like this so you could do it." Well the fact as many of you know is I DO have a T1 connection at my work (how do you think I run the servers?) which is less than 10 minutes from my house and I could play on it if I wanted..but to be honest I do not want to. I do not like running around with a 40 ping killing guys with 250 pings. What is the fun in that? I will tell you..there is none unless your a shitty player and it makes you feel cool.

Last comment....I want to say again... I have nothing against clan Rubicon. They handled themselves very adult like, they didn't rub it in and they were very cool to play with us. It is just that due to the ping factors the scrimmage was completely not fun. Sorry if my comments are too long. - Jazzman-X-[9:25 am EST]

May 12, 1999 - 65 days to LB3 - Trivia: "Q3Test is out"

***CTF Practice/scrimmage tonight!!!!!
We have a practice with clan Rubicon tonight. It is going to be at 10pm EST on their server at: 128.192.16.149:27930 . The server is a Lithium server. However, unlike ours they have runes not techs and there are no Quads. Gator is gonna hold a short session on ICQ before for any that can get on early. I will not be at ICQ meeting (I hate and do not use ICQ) but I will be at the match. Gator, mark me down on Defense starting out.

We hope to have a good attendance tonight so please try to make it.  I will see you guys there tonight. - Jazzman-X-[8:25 am EST]

Quake3Arena server...
I am gonna still leave the server up tonight. I am going to try and go on there around 8pm or so if any of you want to show up and goof off for a little while. So far Q3A looks awesome. I have had feedback from like 3 of you all saying you think it is major kick ass and all other FPS are getting ready to become ancient relics.  - Jazzman-X-[8:25 am EST]

Practice last night...
Went very well. Both clans had a very good showing of members. I think we had at least 7-8 different members show up, plus 2 new applicants. Of those 2 I know for sure that Treset is now a WC member. The other was oblique (I think that's right). He did not get to play very long and I did not get to talk to him at all. If any of you have any comments let me know. I am like 90% sure he is gonna be let in but...I will wait until I hear from you guys.

6e9 members showed up and I think overall everyone had a good time. Several people (including me, which was odd) were having some serious lag problems. Some of that may have had something to do with me running a Q3A server on the same machine. I am not sure about that yet though, but I was definitely experiencing he worst lag I think I ever have on our server last night. Still it was a lot of fun anyway.  - Jazzman-X-[8:25 am EST]

May 11, 1999 - 66 days to LB3 - Trivia: "Q3Test is out"

Fun last night...
Last night several WC members had a good time on the CTF server. It was not a planned session but it was fun. We had all of these members: Gator, Freezer, Jazzman-X, Toxoph, @myth, Hirudin, Ripley, and Cabman(he is now a WC member). Hopefully tomorrow I will get the IP situation straight and I will have the CTF server back up. I only have 2 IP's at my disposal so...hopefully I can get something figured out to get all 3 up. Everyone let me know if you can play Q3A and how it does for you. I really want to know how WC members are doing with it. - Jazzman-X-[3:25 pm EST]

***Practice tonight!!
The Action Quake practice with 6e9 is tonight. I plan to be there although me and @myth may be a couple minutes late. We have to go to a birthday party but should be back in plenty time to make the start of it. If not I expect the rest of you guys to get there and get things rolling. Everyone remember this is not a match..it is an organized practice, tryout for new members, and just have fun session. After that then a couple of us can drop over to the Q3A server for some fun. - Jazzman-X-[3:25 pm EST]

Q3Test server up
For right now I am running a Q3Test server at our CTF server IP address. 207.30.96.66. This is most likely temporary. Toxoph was just here and I started a server to play for a few minutes and within 10 minutes we had 6 guys logged in playing. Crazy. I will try to leave the server running all day.

As far as my opinion after playing for 10 minutes.... all other FPS are now obsolete. The game rocks. - Jazzman-X-[9:59 am EST]

Q3Test is out
GIt is out and I am setting up a server for it...more info later. - Jazzman-X-[9:45 am EST]

Something new  II..
Ok I am the King of New now..hehe I found a cool replacement model and sound for the Sniper Rifle in AQ, its a damn pistol with a scope and its purty darn cool..the skin for the model could use some work but overall the action is great.  The sound isn't hot either but hey, you feel like Dirty Harry when you snipe a fool with it..hehe

Member Returns...
I have heard word from both Radking and Hirudin saying they are almost back up to speed, Hirudin used the old boot in the ass, throw the computer down an elevator shaft approach to remedy his problem, look for ICQ authorization requests from Hirudin since he lost his ICQ address book.  Radking is only handicapped by his lack of a mouse, he only has a trackball and feels like handy boy when using it.

Freezer's machine got retarded and was cured with the ever popular electro shock therapy which cleared the cobwebs and made his machine drool.  It seems Internut Exploder 5.0 decided to set a new desktop wallpaper of something of unknown origin.  I still haven't a clue as to what it was but the white box of yesterday's post is gone.

Roger Wilco Follow-up..
I have heard from Cyris and Blake (from 6e9) about this and I hope we can get together and do a little test soon.  Cyris informed  me that he doesn't have a microphone (umm Cyris it NEEDS a microphone..heheh) but will soon pick one up.  Anyone else get this again email me and let me know.. - Freezer -[6:15pm EST]

Something new..
Ok I saw this over at Blue's News, I normally don't get all warm and fuzzy over anything Blue has to say, but since this could be a good thing I decided I will for this one time.  This is a little program called Roger Wilco which allows real time voice communications during games best of all its FREE no registration charge.  Someone other than me download this so we can do a little test.   Email me or ICQ me when you do and everything so we can set up a time to test this out. - Freezer -[10:40pm EST]

Corrections and stuff...
Just a quick correction to Jazz's post earlier, Miyagi_Sun never made it to LB2 that was ^Ghoti^ a friend of me, Gator and sometime Jazz hehe.  I am going to try to make Miyagi the mute come to LB3  hehe

My second thing is annoying the hell out of me.   Ever since Tuesday night I have had this WHITE box near the center of my screen and nothing seems to get it to go away.  I reinstalled my vid drivers, I have tried refreshing the desktop I am now at a loss for what ever can be causing this problem.   The only thing I can think of is I have been overclocking my Permedia card and my CPU, I haven't tried turning the permedia card down, since I forgot how I jacked it up in the first place..hehe, and I wont go back to normal on my processor due to the fact that MS has built such a FINE piece of quality BS of a mouse that is HYPER sensitive to system changes and there is no way to uninstall it from what I can tell.. So all you damn people having trouble with machines stop infecting my machine with it..hehe   Damn I know I need an upgrade you just don't have to force it on me.hehe  Soon the mini Freezer will be a big bad killing machine..hehe - Freezer -[5:32pm EST]

Oh come on...
Give us a little challenge Jazz.   Heheh.  That's Korbin Dallas from the 5th Element.  How about this one "May the Force be with you."  Bet nobody knows that one... :)

Ok, here is a real one:  How many movies can you think of where someone yells "Medic!" ?  I can think of a couple, but there's probably a bunch more.  If you think of any, email somebody and tell them.  I don't care who.

LAN BLAST 3...still building momentum
Preparation is still moving along well for LB3. I talked with Gator last night for about 2 hours about LB3 related items. Some items are really starting to fall together. The place we are having it at seem like it is gonna be really awesome. Around the 18th-19th of this month a small group of the organizers are getting together to really nail down several items about LB3. So we should have a ton of new info shortly after that.

I still have not heard anything back from the 6e9 guys yet on if any of them will be able to come. As I said before Skube (formerly of IWG) is coming again and has told us that he may be having as many as possibly 5 people coming with him. This would definitely inflate our attendance even more. Skube has not confirmed yet any people coming with him.

About the only person I haven't heard back from that attended the last LB is immoral. I am pretty sure he will come. He has had some computer problems lately and that may be the reason I have not heard from him. I also have not had confirmations from Malbolgia or Myagi_sun yet. They both came late to LB2 with Malbolgia playing and Myagi-sun not playing due to a car accident he was in earlier in the day.

I wanted to mention also we got our first sponsor for LB3. I do not want to give all the details but I will say it is a local ISP and they have said already they would donate a couple items like 56k modems for prizes. - Jazzman-X-[11:45 am EST]

***Practice, Practice, Practice!
Ok, we have 2 practice/scrimmages against other clans next week. They are on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. Tuesday is Action Quake on our server and Wednesday is CTF on one of Clan Rubicon's servers that I will get the IP on today sometime from Gator. We are expecting to get good participation on both these practices. I intend to be at both.

May 6, 1999 - 70 days to LB3 - Trivia: "...then why don't you put her in charge!!"

Aliens...
I'm not really sure how we're supposed to respond to Jazz's trivia questions, but there ya go.  That whiny Hudson guy, I think his name is.  Anyway we have a guy named CRuD who says he plays CTF and AQ and a bunch of other mods who filled out an Ap a couple days ago.  I've never seen him before, so we're going to let you guys make the call.   Watch for him on the servers for the next week or so, and we'll ask for your "review".  If CRuD reads this, just try to play whenever you see some of our guys on.

Members site updated...
Just when you thought it was dead. I put a new article up on the members page. You can get to it using the link over on the left menu. If you do not have the password you can contact me or Freezer for it. - Jazzman-X-[10:45 am EST]

The daily war against computers...
Last night I was up till like midnight working on @myths computer. He got a new monitor (17") that is real nice and also a new video card (16mb Monster Fusion). As usual upgrades can never go easy, hehe. I put the card in and it and his modem decided to engage in mortal kombat across his motherboard.

After 4 hours I finally got both to cooperate and I also finally got Quake 2 etc to all run in 3dfx GL mode. I had to go download the latest minigl 1.47 to finally get that working. So now you guys should start seeing @myth around more now that his system is all up to snuff. He still has a few things to do on it but overall he is now ready to commence ass kicking and is ready for LB3. - Jazzman-X-[8:45 am EST]

May 5, 1999 - 71 days to LB3 - Trivia: "...Not in your lifetime."

Not a damn thing
Nothing new or interesting to really report. I have not heard back from BLaKE of 6e9 still, so the practice/scrimmage is still not finalized yet. I have not really heard from anyone new on LB3 attendance's either. I have sent emails to Gator, BLaKE and a few others with no reply still to questions I asked them. Oh well maybe they will see this pitiful update and decide to answer my emails. - Jazzman-X-[2:45 pm EST]

May 3, 1999 - 73 days to LB3 - Trivia: "Dyin' ain't much of a living boy."

Holy Dog Poop
Wow, I sent a few emails out to a couple of people who we haven't seen in a long time, one being our old friend, Hirudin.   It seems he has had some serious problems getting his connection to the net to last for more than 20 seconds.   He also says he is planning on coming to LB3, which he may try to turn into his own birthday party..hehe  Anyway, I also heard from Cheasy it seems he is still alive as well and claims he will be back like a nasty rash.

P.S.  Hmm don't know what that picture over here is all about but it sure was FUN being at LB2, you wouldn't want me to put one of those bags on your head permanently for not showing up at LB3 would you??- Freezer

Daily Jazz
I want to welcome our new members Radking and Black. If I am not mistaken Black is an old time friend of mine from a while back (name has been changed to protect the innocent?). I am glad you guys picked WC to be a part of. I hope you will find our clan to be as cool as we think it is, hehe.

I am not sure what part of the country you guys are in but if you are able please try to come to LAN BLAST 3 in July if you can. We are turning this slowly into a very large event. We have so much interest in it that at this point we really feel we could have as many people come to this as we want.

We are going to cap this event at about 25-28 people max I believe so make sure you let us know if you are interested in coming. We are gonna have WC, IWG and perhaps even 6e9 members at LB3 in July. I think this is great because it would pull all of us together even more in that you get to meet the people you play with over the internet in person. I think right now we have like 17 or so confirmed people coming.

Just so some of you know I got an email from Big J. today saying that there is a chance he may be able to make it to LB3. Very cool since he was not able to make the last one.  - Jazzman-X-[11:45 am EST]

*Scrimmage with 6e9
I sent an email to Blake of 6e9 this morning. What we are looking at is having a friendly scrimmage/practice on Tuesday May 11th at 930pm EST. This will be a locked down server practice. NOT A MATCH. We are just gonna mix it up with mixed teams and have some fun together.

If all goes well then we may have a scrimmage/match like a week or 2 after. So....I am just giving you guys a heads up on the practice not this Tuesday but next Tuesday. Soon as I get a confirmation back from Blake I will let you know. This will be a great opportunity for both clans to get their new members worked in to the clan thing and not be under pressure of it being a true match. So...I strongly suggest that out new members like Radking and Black try to make it to this. - Jazzman-X-[11:45 am EST]

May 2, 1999 - 74 days to LB3

Finally!!
For those of you who where brave enough to purchase Unreal when it first came out, the long awaited 2.21 now called 2.24v patch is out.. Tim Sweeney is boasting some incredible performance from the RivaTnT cards and more stable gameplay. The multiplayer engine supposedly received a major overhaul which if it holds true will rival quake2's performance. Check it out. downloads page

On another note, I want to apologize to the WC and 6e9 clans for the Half-ass job I did setting up that last scrimmage. I'm impressed that we did actually get a sizeable amount of people and a good game going, thanx! - AntiMatter-[2:45 am EST][11:45 pm PST]

**CTF Biz
A little while back FRaG GoD posted some information regarding a scheduled practice/scrimmage each month with clan Rubicon.  It seems only I responded to Gator about this event.  I would like everyone interested in this to respond to Gator and let him know.   Even if you are not interested in it still let him know so that we can figure out who should be contacted about such an event. - Freezer -[2:49am EST]

New Member...
Everyone welcome Black to the clan.   Most of you know him from our Action Quake server, on which he has been playing almost since day one.  Black will be a great asset to the clan in Action Quake and hopefully we can drag him into a few CTF events as well.  IF you see him on the server welcome him in, if you don't go on the server use ICQ to welcome him. - Freezer -[2:41am EST]
