Updates
The AQ Teamplay Tournament finally updated our match stats and took us off "disqual".  We should be playing clan 6e9 some time this week.   New Pic-of-the-week for Halloween. You can print this out and tape it to your door instead of actually carving one yourself I guess.  Oh and Freezer made up that email.

CLQ clarification
Uhh yeah boys and girls the CLQ is mortal, here is the response to my email to Nico de Vries of the CLQ, its a standard reply but it tells the story accurately.

Our find-player database crashed beyond repair. In 4-8 hours it will berebuild and all data will be back and up to date.Due to the incredible amount of e-mails on this subject I did NOTactually read your e-mail. If I mised something just send it again and Iwill read it.

Nico

So no I wasn't sniffing gold flake paint when I said that yesterday..Sorry to dissappoint ya FRaG..hehe and yes I may have an awesome FPM but I'm ranked higer than you :p and looks who's talking about late news updates..hmm 3:10AM - Freezer 3:58pm EST

no occifer... there's no blood in my alcohol
Anybody know what the hell Freezer was talking about?   Me neither.  Ya gotta lay off the cough syrup man... seriously I'm worried about ya.  :)  Everyone remain calm, CLQ is safe and sound. All your stats are still there.  Including Freezer's awesome 0.5 frags/minute for this week.  heh heh Their databases sometimes go down for a little while or change addresses but I don't think they've crashed yet.  That's what you get when you stay up till 2:30 in the morning making news updates buddy...

Violent Marv's contact info has been added to the Roster page and the Member Database.   Try not to annoy him too much with interrogations.  :)   - FRaG GoD 3:10pm EST

CLQ Screw -up
Well it seems the CLQ has had a big boo boo happen..all current rankings from recently seemed to have disappeared.  Yep that's right looks like the database update last night hosed everyone's rankings (individual).  Hell I was doing good this week in AQ2 but now its gone only the period ending October 3rd is listed..I will post more info as it is available but it looks like the mighty CLQ has had its first disaster.. - Freezer 2:35am EST

Server Issues
In other news, the server zbot detector works well in the Lithium server it is doubled up by what Jazz installed and Lithium's native code, but that's the nature of the  detector he installed, it just has to be there.  We tested it last night and man it works NICE..a zbot cheater cannot even log into the server and think about playing..(too bad for all you cheaters out there its been nice knowing ya...NOT).  With the recent zbot code work out it seems there might be a correlation between the disappearance of the Lame President clan and the release of the newer Quake 2 patch and zbot detection, hmm did it surprise anyone??  Not this guy, they knew that I was correct and, we have demos to prove it still to this day, now they have really become the DEAD presidents..later lamers.. - Freezer 2:28am EST

Zbot detection up and running on AQ server
I just got the zbot detection working on the Action Quake Teamplay server. It seems to be working fine. It will kick and log any cheaters who go on server. Will be interesting to see. A fellow admin I know said after running it for 3 days he had a list of 14 zbot cheaters already. I will of course ban them instantly as I get their ip's. :)

PS/2 mouse rate programs
I wont even pretend that I totally understand these programs.  My understanding is they  basically do the same thing. I have them here locally for you:

Mouserate/Jamie Hankins (NT,95,98)

Qizmo/Juha Kujala (95,98) -(I have used this one)

My understanding is the first one is for NT/95/98 and the second one only 95/98. I am using the Qizmo one at home. This is for a PS/2 (round plug) only. Not serial mouse (trapezoid, 9 pin plug). My very basic understanding is that most mouse ports are set at default port speeds of like 40hz to 80hz (USB around 125hz) this program allows you the set the speed as high as 200hz. This is supposed to make Quake 2 play smoother and help fight the overall lag monster.

I will say that I didn't really seem to notice a huge visible difference (well maybe it was slightly faster it seemed), but I will say that after I made the change I seemed to play better than before..hmmm. For you serial mouse players I read that the Kujala guy is working on a similar program for your serial mouse also. Here is a excerpt from some ion storm guy talking about it to help explain it more:

Apparently there's been a bit of confusion about using Qizmo/ps2rate.exe:

- Works in Win95, works in Win98.
- Doesn't work in WinNT. (Note from Jazz: the top one does it says)
- Works with ps/2 (round plug) mice.
- Doesn't work with normal serial (trapezoidal 9-pin) mice.
- Doesn't work with USB mice.
- Doesn't overwrite your current mouse driver.
- It only lasts for the current windows session, so you have to re-run
the program (ps2rate.exe) every time you reboot.
- This WILL affect your windows mouse cursor, AND every game you run out
of windows (unless that game itself does something funky to the mouse).
- The best way to run the program for the first time is probably:

1. Open an MSDOS prompt.
2. Change to the directory where you put ps2rate.exe.
3. Make sure the file "ps2rate.vxd" is there too.
3. Type "ps2rate 200" to set your ps/2 mouse to 200hz.
4. Make sure it says it was successful. If not, make sure you actually
    have a ps/2-style mouse.
5. Still no luck? Try "ps2rate 100" for 100hz. Or 80hz, or 60hz.
6. If it worked (and it will tell you if it did), you mouse will be happy.
7. If you want this to run automatically upon windows startup, you can
make a shortcut to the program and put it in Start->Programs->StartUp.
Make sure you include a "200" (no quotes) on the Target line in your
    Shortcut Properties, after "ps2rate.exe".

If it doesn't work, crashes your machine, or gives you indigestion,
don't blame me. I didn't write the thing. ;-)

And yes, it's faster than a default USB mouse (200hz, compared to 125hz).
But at that point the performance feels pretty much the same anyway,
at least to me.

Holy Smokes..
Hey boys and girls..remember me??   Well I want to throw out my welcome to Violent Marv, if you haven't seen him play yet then get your butt in the AQ2 server and watch.  Also I have reviewed the new map in the AQ2 server and except for one or two points the map is well done, there is however a BIG spawn point problem with a point under a stair case EVERYONE gets stuck.  It seems that people spawn in the floor (a bad thing) and the people behind them can't get out.  Bad for teamplay when one of your team goes out and the rest are stuck.  I think its kinda gay that you can only issue the unstick command within the first nine seconds of a match or too bad.  For those of you who don't know I am trying to build a level for AQ2, I have a theme and Jazzman thinks its a good one but I am starting to doubt the idea (outdoor levels are kinda tough to make properly) so I will be attempting to get the idea down but I may make a map with more lag than its worth.  the test map lagged like a bitch, but I think I may have been trying to reinvent the wheel so I am back to square one, and have found better ways to build.  The general theme behind the level is that of the M.I.A. movies with Chuck Norris, If anyone can think of any features let me know, I'll try to implement them.. - Freezer 11:59pm

Site & Roster updates
As you know we won our first AQ match last night.  Click here to read the match results. Also welcome new member Violent Marv, Action Quaker extrordinaire.  It will be nice having another backup for the matches because I know Freezer and myself were experiencing quite a bit of lag during the second half.  He'll have to share some thoughts about how to get 14 frags/minute in a teamplay game... (Violent Marv's CLQ stats)

The AQ server seems to have crashed again, but the AQ mod guys say they know about the bug and will have it fixed soon in the next version.   The AQ Teamplay Tournament will continue next week when we find out the winner of one of the matches.

Fragboard updated...
I compiled the stats for the time period of: Oct. 19th -28th. I also put a link to the last week (2 weeks, whatever) stats on the page. Just click the Fragboard link above to check them out. Congrats to Freezer for hammering down the number one spot. We also had Gator and Ripley in the top 5. I highlighted @myth (he's my nephew that plays at my house) because he is kinda a floater member.

New map on Action Server...
I just added a new map to the AQ server. It is called "Teacher". I have not played it but several people are saying it is awesome. Has like around 180 custom textures and sounds. I uploaded it here so everyone can DL it faster than you normally could. I will only leave the file on our site for a few days. Its around 2.6 meg. Click Here to DL. It is in rotation 3rd after Actcity2 and Cliff. Current maps in rotation: Actcity2, cliff, teacher, bldg17, kumanru, teamjungle, cliff2 and finally hostage2. you can find any of these maps at Map Depot.

AQ Teamplay Match...WC...Winner!
Well we had our AQ Teamplay match tonight. We came out on top. It was kinda messed up because they didn't have guys show up so we out numbered them. They played hard though and never gave up or complained. Hats off to the [DINGO] clan for sticking in there for a good match.

Any of you guys that are playing AQ Teamplay let me know so maybe you can play next match. Our next match will probably be next week sometime. The guys in the bracket below us have not played yet and have until Saturday to have their match.

The WC guys that played tonight were: Jazzman-X, Toxoph, Freezer and FRaG GoD.
Antimatter was there as a backup in case of a drop out. Thanks for showing up Antimatter. Next match you can start if you want. (its always 4 on 4)

We played 2 maps and here were the scores:
Actcity2 : WC 19 -Dingos 4 --Ruins3 WC 3 - Dingos 1.

Server updates...
Lithium Server notes
: Nothing new. Seems to be running great no problems. There is a new version 1.23 that I have not upgraded to yet but plan to this week for sure.

Action Server Notes: I upgraded the AQ server to the latest 1.1b2 a few days ago. It is much more stable now but there still is one bug that cause crashes. Siris of AQ told me he knows what it is and it will be fixed next version. I plan to update the server to the new mappak just released for teamplay at Map Depot. Go get it when you have a chance. - Jazzman-X 11:58pm EST

Server seems steady now
Although it still seems to display the IP address instead of the domain name, our site seems to be running fine and should stay up fine.   I've been doing some more internal reorganizing, most of which is not visible, but you might notice a couple small changes.

AQ tourney
In other news our first match in the AQ Teamplay Tournament is scheduled for Tuesday night at 9:00 EST.  The server will be locked for the match which will last between 40 mins and 1 hour.  I'm not sure if spectators are allowed but if so it should be real fun to watch.  The CTF server might be shut down during this time depending on how bad the lag is.  Well no one has sent me any email about whether they went to the page I put links up to for the last few days.  So I don't know if you all haven't read the news or just didn't try it or what.  Write me some mail and let me know!

Misc. crap
I don't have any more info about the LAN party yet.   As far as I know it's still on for the date posted here before.  I'll be finding out if I can borrow any hardware for it sometime this week, so if anybody else got some more let me know so I don't go getting stuff unnecessarily.
Started downloading some MP3s again yesterday.   I have picked Rammstein as my new favorite band for this month.  Their songs have a very cool sound to them, even if you don't know what the hell they're saying.   Write me some email about music stuff too if you want to.  Just no forwards about email virus warnings.  !=)

Secret project update update
No I'm not stuttering... the servers are though.   New temp link to the secret weapon page.  About the servers: With IE3 it only works if you use the IP address and add the extra slash to the end of directory name.   Ex: http://199.236.117.191/crew2/   instead of the normal www.neoreality.com/crew2.  IE4 should work fine.

Back on line and then some
Since some of you don't know, I recently moved to Tucson, Arizona.  Considerably warmer than the last place I was at.  Well anyway, I must confess, I gave Action Quake a try and yes Gator, I liked it.  Much different than CTF, you don't blindly run into a room and expend your load of 20 rockets.

Well enough of that, yes as you may have notice I have been bestowed access to this site by the godly powers from Ft. Myers.  I will be posting some more articles soon and perhaps a couple FAQ's. (Just need something to write about.)  Well that's all for tonight, give Action Quake a try if you haven't yet.

New Desktop screen shot
There is a new Pic of the Week up.  It is a screen shot that I took while playing against some people who live in the dorms.  It is pretty large (filesize wise) so it will take a little while to load the page, but it is a pretty cool pic.

I'm also starting to mess with ICQ again.  I can send messages to other people using the "send thru server" option, and it seems other people can send me messages the same way.  It just sometimes takes a very long time to get them.  I'll reply to any messages you send while I'm offline though.

Server updates...
Lithium Server notes
: Nothing new. Seems to be running great no problems.

Action Server Notes: I took the "chriscity3" map out of rotation and put an old map "bldg17" back in rotation. I also added the newly released sequel to the great map "cliff" on the server. It is called "cliff2", weird huh? Anyway as always these maps can all be found at Map Depot. - Jazzman-X 10:40am EST

Fragboard lives again...
I just uploaded the compiled stats from the Lithium CTF server for October 8th-19th. I don't know if these are completely accurate or not. I am not going to give myself a headache over it. This is how they compiled directly from Gibstats. I deleted a few columns to help on space some (i.e. Kills, Deaths, Suicides-I feel frags is sufficient). I will try to update this on a weekly basis. I am going to clear the log now and we can all start on a new week starting today. I found it interesting to see how many people played on our server over that period. Take a look at them all. Congrats to Gator on being numero uno. Click on Fragboard above to check them out.

CTF Zbot cheaters caught
The Lithium mod caught its first two Zbot cheaters this weekend.  "U SLUT" and "COBRA|KCQ" were the lucky contestants.  Cobra even came back in for a second try.  We have their IP addresses but we probably won't ban them because it's fun to watch them come in and get kicked out automatically.  ZapMan says he's on a spiritual retreat in India, and is casting bad karma at these two players.  We're having some people look at him next week.

Send us some email about how Gator's quad thing is working out for you guys.  I personally haven't played CTF for about a month so I haven't had a chance to try it.

General stuff
I have set up a page with links to important Quake stuff here.   I originally set it up for when Jazzman and ZapMan got their new computers and had to download everything all over again, but the network admins here still haven't gotten it worked out so that our computers can be accessed via http.  So they didn't really get to use it, but hopefully if anybody else gets a new computer or has a HD crash it won't take you that long to recover.  In other news I set up a dedicated server on our LAN just to see if anyone wandered in, and after a day or so I've come across 5 other Quakers living in the dorms.  This is pretty cool, but even better is that one of them mentioned we may have soon be able to access outside Q2 servers from our rooms.  Kick ass.  We may soon have another LPB in the matches baby!  Took long enough.   We are also signed up for the Official Action Quake Teamplay Tournament that I mentioned the other day.  It's 4 on 4, and we have 4 people who can play, but we may need somebody else to play a couple of matches if we don't get network access or another phone line here in time.

Latest details on the WC LAN-Blast:  Most likely going to be held at Gator/RIPley's house on Nov. 14th.  We've got at least 6 or 7 computers available to take down there and we'll have the networking hub and cables shortly.  If any of you out-of-staters are deciding on taking a short unplanned vacation in the near future, this event will be a very nice idea to consider.  We have two P2-400's to use as servers and all kinds of LAN games to play if we want, if we ever get bored of playing Q2 against other people in the same room.  In my experience, this does not happen very often...  Taunting and talking smack to other players is SO much easier and more fun when you can just yell it.  :)

WC LAN-Blast in planning stages...
After talking to several of you it seems everyone else is as excited about having a LAN party as I was. I have at least 6 people saying they will show for it. I will be talking to FRaG GoD and ZapMan tonight and we will discuss setting a date up for the event. We plan on making it a little ways off as to give everyone plenty of time to plan for it. I talked to Toxoph this morning and we are kinda looking at Saturday, November 14th(?) as about the best date for several reasons. We will let everyone know for sure soon...

Server Notes
I made quite a few changes to the servers here they are:

Lithium Server notes: I updated the server to 1.22 beta 9. Reading through the notes I see several things have been fixed. I also noticed that for the last 2 versions or so that I had not been updating the lithctf.cfg file so some new features from past release were not enabled (Dohh!). Anyway, Lithium now can detect zbot-cheaters, and will do 2 things. 1-kick them and 2-Log who it was so we can know who is  using them. There were also a few other new items and bugs tweaked out. I still have the Pro-Rocket settings enabled as the feedback from everyone has been that you all like it pretty well.

Action Server Notes: The Action server has been running very well as of late. It has still crashed once or twice but not nearly as much as it was a week or two ago. Hmmm. Anyway, for those who play there I am going to add a new map to the server today. It is called "chriscity3" (click to see pics, reviews and DL it). It is a very cool little city map that has multiple buildings (one that's 5 stories that has a all glass elevator that goes up outside of building) and seams tailored well for teamplay. Our server is still THE #1 most popular server on the net as of this morning according to CLQ. Very cool.

WC LanBlast 1
Ok here is the deal. The WC guys here in FL need to have a party. A LAN/Quake2/Beer/ass-whooping/etc... party. I have 2 PC's all networked up ready to go and I know that at least 3 or 4 of you have PC's that we could get together for a LAN party. Please everyone (in Florida or planning to come to FL, hehe) email me on your opinion on having one, when, etc. I think we would maybe need to even rent someplace to have it maybe...hmmm not sure. Guess it depends on how many people etc. Please write me and let me know what you think. I would really like us to get this organized. I think it would be a lot of fun to maybe do once a month or every 2 months perhaps.

Clan site updates
I have had a little bit of free time over the last few days, so I've been messing with the crew site a little.  Mostly cleaning up the directory structures and adding to files that you don't see.  I decided to try and finally finish the BluePrints and strategy guide that I started so long ago but it always seems to take much longer than you think.  One thing that you CAN see is that the CLQ links now work again on the Roster page.   The CLQ guys changed the path to their .asp file so it was not showing the correct person when you clicked on them for a few days there.  It also appears they gave in and started logging CTF servers now too, so almost everybody has their name in it somewhere now.  Also it appears that the official Action Quake Teamplay Tournament still has 20 more clan spots to fill... I don't want to add more confusion to everyone's schedules, but it's possible that if we sign up we could use our server for the matches, and that would be pretty cool.  Write some emails to people and let me know if anyone is interested.

Proposed Clan changes...
There are a few things we are considering doing to get our clan back on track. I still need to talk to Gator and Freezer about some of these (Call me guys when you can).

One thing we are considering is more practices (duh). Like probably 3 a week (WHAT!!), heheh. Basically though you would only need to make at least one per week. Basically what we would do is each night someone different would be "In Charge" of that practice. Most the time these would just be us showing up and playing. No "Do this and that" stuff unless it is really needed or whatever. Just show up at a specified time and practice playing your position for at least an 2 hours a week. We leave the server open and as people come in the WC people get on same team to practice with each other. The more you practice the better. This will also determine who starts in matches.

No big deal right? So what happens if you don't show up for at least one practice a week for those 2 hours? We send Freezer to your house. Hehe, just kidding. We are considering making a classification for our players. Tournament Players and Clan Players. Tournament Players are active players who practice and thereby play and start in scrimmages and matches. Clan Players are our casual players who don't make practices and just like to play every once in awhile and don't start in matches or even play in them unless needed.

Sound fair? Let us know what you think. We may put this into action very soon.
- Jazzman-X 3:26pm EST

Server notes...
I have made a few changes on the servers as follows:

Lithium Server notes: I updated the server to 1.22 beta 8. As you know you still do not need anything as Lithium is a server side mod. A few notes though. First in reading the update text file I noticed several fixed bugs and problems from the version we had before. So, maybe this will help the crashes. Also I enabled the "Pro-Rocket" settings on the server. I have no idea what this is, but from guessing by looking at the settings I think it has to do with more realistic impact and explosion physics. (As in you fly back or whatever when hit with rocket) This should be cool and was something that should have been in Quake 2 in the first place, if that's what this does. I think it also balances settings between Q1 and Q2 as in rocket speed, area of effect, direct hit damage, etc. So all you guys just play it for a day or 2 before you start whining about it being different. Change of pace is healthy from time to time. Hehe. Let me know what you think after a day or two.

Action Server Notes: Nothing really new. Just went in and cleaned out some maps not in use. This server has now taken its turn as the one to crash all the time. I am not sure exactly why. Very odd. I am looking into it. I can sit here at work all day and watch it and its fine, then I go home look and its down. I wish I could be on it one time when it crashes so I could see where, how , what's happening etc when it does.

Get ready to change your underwear!
After reading this my shorts were thoroughly soiled. Pretty freaking amazing, guess I will be getting those double monster 2's after all. I highlighted the important lines for those scanners in the crowd like me.

3Dfx Interactive(R) Inc. (Nasdaq: TDFX) today announced new high-performance DirectX(R) drivers for Voodoo2(TM) that shatter all previous 3D graphics performance records, scoring 665 on the GameGauge metric when running in SLI configuration. The new drivers, combined with the unique 3Dfx SLI configuration of Voodoo2, offer 40 percent faster performance than the closest competitive product and are specifically optimized for the multi-texturing capabilities and other new features of DirectX 6. The performance improvements offer up to a 50 percent performance increase for multi-texturing Direct3D(TM) games over the previous drivers.

Additionally, customers will see a dramatic reduction in board pricing as a result of significant drops in memory component costs over the last six months. The Voodoo2 SLI configuration is expected to sell for less than $300 (U.S.), while an 8MB, single-board Voodoo2 is expected to sell for less than $100 (U.S.). These new prices will be a key element of 3Dfx's latest marketing campaign known as the "Power of 2," which debuts today. As part of the promotion, Guillemot will offer a pair of 12 MB Voodoo2 cards for a special "Power of 2" pricing of $229 (U.S.). - Jazzman-X 10:36am EST

CTF Scrimmage Comments Too (II)
Well I did plan to come to the match.   Unfortunately for some reason I thought it was on Friday (days get messed up when you're really tired), so I didn't even sit down at my computer until after midnight.   I came online but there was nobody on the server so I played AQ for a while.   Oh there's also a new Map Pak out for AQ, Map Pak 2: The Sequel available from Map Depot which is the new home for AQ maps.  I haven't looked at all of the new maps yet, but there is a very cool level called 'asylum' that is very well designed to look just like being in an asylum during a rain storm at night.  There is a lot of attention to detail. There is one large room with beds in it that has a stereo with surround sound in the speakers in the corners, and it stops playing if you shoot it, and another office with a working dart board in it.  Quite cool.

As for CTF matches, I think we should have some kind of scheduled thing some night where we all go on the server and play.  I don't mean a practice where we have it locked out and we keep running scenarios over and over.   Just start off by playing together at the same time.  I haven't played CTF for a while and other than these last two recent matches I don't know how much the rest of you have played on there together, but we should have some kind of meeting before we have another match.  My phone connection isn't very good but it's usually playable so I'll try to be there.  So whoever is in charge of that set something up.  :) - FRaG GoD 4:30pm EST

CTF Scrimmage comments...
I just sent an email to all WC members talking about the match last night along with other things. I am not going to really comment here so read the email. I do want to send a thankyou out to the AG clan for coming to play with us. I also want to apologize for the server problems we had. I think I have got them straightened out now so I hope we can have a rematch in the future since that really was an incomplete scrimmage because of the problems. Thanks again for showing up everyone. - - Jazzman-X 11:50am EST

CTF Scrimmage notes...
I have the server all setup for the match. I increased the clients, and I believe I have both the laser grapple and regular CTF grapple working. This is for the AG clan mostly I guess. They do not play Lithium that much and are use to the +grapple command and not the +hook command of the laser. So both should work. BFG is off also.

CTF Scrimmage tonight!!!!
Ok for those of you that didn't know yet we have a scrimmage tonight against the
"Alpha Group" clan. They appear to be a very organized and perhaps very skilled clan. This should be a good match for us. As of right now the
match is scheduled for 10pm EST on our server. It is probably going to be 5vs5.

As of right now I know that Gator, Antimatter, Toxoph and Myself all plan to be there. Freezer is laid up after tripping over his ducky in the shower so he will be home popping pills in stead of heads (get well soon big guy). The password for the server will be emailed to everyone by me or Gator sometime today. Everybody try to show up and be on your best behavior please. Jazzman-X 12:00am EST

Changes still...
The intro graphic as you can see is different again. I know that like 2 of you told me today that you may have something soon also. The one that is up now is a very generic kindof looking one that I actually made a month ago but never used. I found it and decided what the hell. The red axe one I had up was clashing with our nifty green flash navbar too much. This one is much more color friendly. Let me know what you think. Again if any of you make up a splash graphic please send it my way and we can try to put it up for everyone's viewing pleasure. Jazzman-X 4:48pm EST

QUAKE 3 Arena!!
That's right boys and girls..Quake 3 Arena. I just got the November PCGAMER in the mail yesterday. It has a huge exclusive on Quake 3 with the first pics I have seen of the new id game. It also has an interview with the man himself John Carmack. Quite a bit of cool info. I have to say I am very excited about Quake 3 Arena. More than any of the other 1st person games that are coming out. I mean after you read that all Carmack is doing is making it where this game plays even faster due to all the work on the networking code you have to get excited. They are doing some very cool things with the graphics also, but they are really focusing on making the ultimate multiplayer experience and not worried quite so much about graphic wow factors. Should be awesome.

Server news...
Well I kinda got most of the server problems fixed I think. The Action server still crashed late last night but I think that is due to someone playing on it causing it somehow. It did run from 3pm till at least 1am no problem and the Lithium server was still running as of 8am this morning. For anyone that's not aware, I only run the Action Quake server during the day. I do not run the Lithium server during the day because to be honest nobody plays on it ever until after like 6pm or so.

Action Server Notes: I added a new level to the Action Server. Its called Ruins3. Its kinda like a big military training zone type level. For those of you playing on the AQ server here is the current map rotation: Actcity2, cliff, ruins3, teamjungle, hostage2, desert.

Lithium Server notes: I have not put the latest Lithium version on yet. I actually have to get it again. The copy I got from Freezer was corrupted somehow and did not work. I will try to get it today if possible.

Splash Graphic...
As you guys have probably noticed I put up a new intro WC graphic on the home page. This is not a permanent switch and no we are not a Blood clan or something. This is just a kinda cool theme graphic for October (get it..Halloween...hmmm) We will go back to the old one after Halloween.

If anyone would like to try their hand at making a cool, twisted X-mas one make it up and we will use it for December. If you do just submit it to me, if we get more than one that is cool we will rotate them. Same deal if any of you are real fast and would like to make another Halloween image. The only requirement I ask is that it is no bigger in size than 550 pixels wide, 215 pixels high (our page gets to whacky if bigger) Also make sure it has the same basic content as the current one, people have to know where they are after all.   Jazzman-X 11:58pm EST

CTF server down tonight...
Tonight only the Lithium CTF server will be down. I am doing some testing on possible conflicts on this system and will only have the Action server running. Based on what happens I may have only the CTF server up tomorrow with the Action server down, we will see. The CTF server will be back up as normal tomorrow (yes, with the new version Freezer, hehe). Match totals not accurate?
After looking at the stats a little closer and then looking at the raw log file there seems to be a little bit of a problem with the stats still I think. I think that everything is ok except our top 3 guys frags totals. I know Antimatter is pretty good and all but it seemed 53 frags on 2 maps was a bit extreme. It seems from looking at the logs it got confused and awarded frag points for flag capture points. Thus, since Antimatter, Hirudin and Gator did 98% of the flag capturing (Me and Freezer were on Defense during the rounds, I'm not sure on Cheasy and Skream) they got a ton of Frag points miscalculated. (They got about 5 extra frags each time they captured the flag, which for Antimatter who was the king capturing is significant). When I recalculate I will include the new stat of Flags Captured so we know ho did and how many.

I will try to look at it a little closer and correct the numbers maybe tonight if I can. Hell if I have to I will do it manually, its only 2 maps, maybe 6 pages worth of stats. Sorry for the inconvenience, regardless we still played extremely well. All the other stats should be accurate as far as I can tell. But, don't hold me to it.   Jazzman-X 3:09pm EST

In depth CM match stats compiled
As the title says I was able to beat some stats out of the log file for the night of our match with CM. Click here to see them. I put a link to them on the match report page also. I didn't transfer the data into the fancy table layout on the match page, maybe Frag God or I will get the chance to soon in stead of having it on a separate page. I will put some more comments about the stats up later today. Overall I think we all did very well even the guys like me that were only there for a small part of the match.

Stuff, stuff, and more stuff...
Well if anyone noticed what I did on the servers page then here's a cookie for ya..In all seriousness I have added a link to a second page for ActionQuake Teamplay servers.  I selected these servers based on the most popular servers for AQ2 Teamplay in the CLQ.  I doubled up on Jazzman-X's server listing becuase it is one of the top ten most popular servers, so don't question me about it.  If all that goes well I hope to add a page for Lithium based servers as well as time allows, for now enjoy what I put up..- Freezer 10:14pm EST

All kinds of cool stuff!!!
Ok Frag God has made a bunch of cool additions to the site. First of all if you go to the Rosters page you will notice quite a few new items. He changed the match icons and made them direct links to the match results pages. (Just click the stars, if you hover over the star you can see which match it links to)

He also added links the the Champions League for Quake ranking page for each clan member (very cool, click on roster page by who you want to see where it says: clq). I also put up a page for the last match we had. You can get to it from the menu to the left or by using the star's on the roster page for someone that played. Ummm...I'm sure there are some other things but I cant remember tight this second. If any of you took some pics during the match please let me know so I can get them from you to put on the results page. We have almost been good about having a match every month. Hope fully we can get one for October, (Hint Hint Gator, hehe) Jazzman-X 11:39pm EST

Cool pic from last night...
Here is a cool pic I took last night while playing:

<Click to Download pic>

For those of you who are not familiar with what your looking at, this guy has a long fall in store. This is the "Cliff" map for Action Quake. This cliff has long falls off both side of the peak this guy is flying off of. When he hit the ground it...well it wasn't pretty, hehehe. He was knocked off with a sub-machine gun. Take note of the cool blood spray. You can click image to download full size version for cool wallpaper. Jazzman-X 1:59pm EST

Updated roster page medals
I updated the roster page medals for the last match. I  gave one to everyone who showed up. I have them being as: Gator, Freezer, Jazzman-X, Antimatter, Cheesy, Skream, and the mighty Hirudin. If you were there and I didn't mention you please let either Freezer or Jazzman-X know. I definitely want to say good job to all that were able to show up. Jazzman-X 1:39pm EST

Hello again...
Ok I am back. One reason for my absence and lack of updates was because 1) I am on vacation this week from work and 2) I had not yet put FrontPage on my new PC and just got it installed today again. So back to work! Anyway I am going to try and get a page up about that last match this weekend sometime.

Also Freezer and I have been talking about putting up a page that has links to each members ranking page on the Champions League for Quake page. The cool thing is this keeps rankings automatically over hundreds of servers and for well over 100,000 players. The bad news is it does not keep stats or rank for CTF type games. :( It is only for DM type mods or teamplay type mods (non-CTF style). So...our Action server is included but not our CTF server. Check it out above if you are interested. I did see several members ranked. We may just make links off of the roster page to each members stat page. Jazzman-X 1:39pm EST
